No Shortage of Fun at Ascent’s First Block Party
The first Ascent neighborhood block party on April 9 delivered exactly what it set out to do. Bring people together. And it did just that, carrying on well into the evening with approximately 150 guests, including families, friends, and plenty of kids, all getting to know their neighbors.
Food and beverage trucks kept things moving, with Aioli’s Gourmet Burgers, Protein and Poke, Sanser Antojitos, Gelu Italian Ice, and Cactus Spur Boozy Bars serving up something for everyone.
There was no shortage of ways to join in. The 9 hole LED mini golf course saw its fair share of friendly competition. The digital photo booth captured more than a few memorable moments. Caricature artists kept things light with some creative takes. And live music by Lindsey Vogt kept the energy going throughout the afternoon and into the evening. It was an easy, relaxed day that felt like a true start to the community taking shape.
